The STORIES

The Lusus Naturae SKULK Trail
Open April 26 & 27 and May 3 & 4

Prepare yourself, dear reader, for now we enter the realm of the truly bizarre. I fully understand the sheer foolishness of attempting to convey this inexplicable madness, for those who dare to examine these words will surely label me a madman. Yet, I have delved too deep to turn back, trapped within the clutches of this unfathomable enigma.

What I have learned is a fragmented tale, passed down as whispers and shadows, pieced together through numerous documents, and translated through three languages. Yet, I have witnessed, I have experienced the horrors firsthand.

Mr. Creepies’ Demented Labyrinth
closed until september

Nov. 30st 2021

A sudden gust of wind smacked my face, blurring my vision. My hand instinctively reached out, snatching a paper plastered across my face by the force of the wind. It was a flyer for Mr. Cooger Creepies’ Clown Carnival and Big Tent Extravaganza. The peculiarity of the situation struck me both physically and mentally. The memory of John Lennon’s “Benefit of Mr. Kite” poster, transformed into a haunting song, flashed through my mind, the strange connection intrigued me. Folding the flyer, I tucked it away in my jacket pocket. As the day dragged on, my pockets disgorged their contents, revealing the Creepies flier once more. I placed it on my desk, but it soon vanished beneath a relentless tide of purposeful papers, lost to the world like a forgotten relic. Little did I know, that piece of paper would lead me down a path of troubles.

SKULK Trail Precautions

Once started there is no going back!  There are no exits from The Trail, or the Cave System, if she puts you on that path.  Stay on the trail at all times!  Remain in the moment and cognizant of your entire perimeter!  A few of the creatures prefer the frontal ambush, others a flanking attack.  But the really dangerous ones are the stalkers, the creatures that will follow from behind and attack when you are not looking.  Keep one eye always behind you and the other everywhere else.  If you encounter a creature, whatever you do, DO NOT RUN!  Running will likely separate you from the group and there is strength in numbers.  Also running on this trail can quickly lead to a fall, or a head thump.  Running, stumbling, falling, and screaming shows weakness.  Showing weakness will lead immediately to an attack.  The best defense is to move together steadily as a group.  Even huddle if attacked.  If a creature is approximate, and an attack appears imminent,

DO NOT STARE into the Eyes of the Creature but continue to move slowly away and not towards.
